Man gets 18th Drunk Driving Conviction

46 years of non-sobriety. Congratulations, Clarence.

It appears Clarence Gage, 65, has set the unenviable record of having the most convictions for driving drunk in a motor vehicle than anybody in Dane County. Gage, of Madison, went back to prison last week after his probation was revoked on a 2004 conviction that was his 18th conviction for driving while drunk. The revocation came in September when he drove to a meeting with his probation agent smelling like booze, despite a strict condition of his extended supervision was that he not drink any alcohol. – From Madison.com
