Major Facebook Fubar – Information “Lost”
Hmmm, makes you wonder how safe your information is being maintained by Facebook — if your information can be become – poof – “lost.” If you’re concerned about security and privacy with your Facebook account, well, be concerned…

Ok, great… So in logging into Facebook, we were greeted with the below warning. Better than being superpoked, I guess…
So in clicking over to the Email notifications page, all items that were turned OFF were inexplicably TURNED ON:

First, makes you wonder what else can be lost. Secondly, don’t they have any backups?! Third, SUPERPOKE!

So, they had a snafu and messed up some user's settings.
Your writing in this article makes it sound like they lost user's critical personal data.
They screwed up your NOTIFICATION settings, and were kind enough to send you an email asking you to reset them.
This kind of stuff happens all the time, and at least it only happened to a few THOUSAND users, versus a few MILLION/BILLION.
Relax.
