It’s been an interesting couple of weeks. Elections in Iran have caused the entire country to head into chaos and riots. Deployment of the US troops is now underway. North Korea is somewhat intimidating. The United States economy is dwindling. People have a problem getting jobs, laid off, and forced out of their homes. Planes keep crashing, but are still the safest way to travel. (Tell the news to stop reporting this so we can actually believe it). The president of Honduras is exiled or arrested and a couple of other dictators we should be looking out for.
Now, the entertainment world has been cursed for one week since the deaths of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon and Billy Mays. For those who are wondering, George Clooney, Jeff Goldblum, and Britney Spears are very much alive and well. Someone actually hacked in to Britney Spears’s Twitter account to announce that she was dead. What’s wrong with you people!?
Usually some people would continue writing how nuts the media is making us, but I dare you to turn on the news. Though, maybe, there might be some stuff going on in the world when you open up the paper or get your news online! Proceed with caution.

Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports including the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. CNN has not confirmed his death. Jackson, 50, had been in a coma at the hospital, sources told CNN. Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, said he was told by brother Randy Jackson that Michael Jackson collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles Thursday morning. – From CNN

Michael Jackson fans won’t be thrilled – or necessarily surprised – by this news. The first four dates of the singer’s much-hyped 50-show comeback tour have been postponed, promoters announced Wednesday. The July 9 show at London’s O2 arena will now take place July 13 – while shows on July 10, 12, and 14 have been rescheduled for March 2010, promoters said. The delays immediately stoked speculation that Jackson’s health is poor, but promoters said the issue was a production snag.
