Man arrested for pointing gun at party pooper

You know, Mr. PartyMan, Mr. Relax and have a good time, it ain’t all woo-woo to bring a gun to party. “Have fun! Or I’ll shoot you!” Nice…

A 20-year-old Madison man was arrested for pointing a gun at another man because he apparently was upset that the victim was helping to break up a party on the north side where underage people were drinking, Madison police reported. Police were called to the scene of the house party after Withers allegedly pointed a gun at a 31-year-old man. “The suspect was angry because the victim was assisting in disbanding the party, out of concerns there were underage people drinking at the gathering,” said police spokesman Joel DeSpain. – from Madison

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY no more

A promoter for the Motor Sports Monster Truck & Thrill Show has died from injuries after an accident in Wisconsin, just over a week after a 6-year-old boy was killed in a monster truck event in Tacoma, Wash.

Eisenhart, GeorgeGeorge Eisenhart Jr. was greatly admired by monster truck industry colleagues for promoting safety and helping build success with a sport he worked in for more than 16 years. Eisenhart, 41, from Chardon, Ohio, died from injuries after being struck by a truck Saturday night at a Monster Truck Nationals show at the Dane County Coliseum.

“A tragic accident” is how Dane County officials describe the death of George Eisenhart Jr. at the Monster Truck Nationals show Saturday night at the Dane County Coliseum — the second death in just over a week involving monster trucks. Eisenhart, 41, of Chardon, Ohio, was hit by one of the giant-wheeled, thundering vehicles he loved when he stepped into its path near the end of the performance. He was pronounced dead two hours later at Univeristy of Wisconsin Hospital of major, “crushing” internal injuries, Coroner John Stanley said. – from Madison.com

The Dane County Coroner says 41-year-old George Eisenhart Jr. of Chardon, Ohio, died after the accident on Saturday night in Madison. A witness tells the Wisconsin State Journal that Eisenhart walked out in front of one of the monster trucks just as it was about to pass by. – from Foxnews

The driver of the monster truck that crushed the show’s promoter and announcer during a performance at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Saturday did not see the victim, who had left a track safety well, the Dane County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday. Eisenhart was crushed under a 600-pound wheel on the truck known as “Samson” driven by Daniel Patrick, 54, of Circleville, Ohio, a veteran of more than 20 years in the business, officials said. – from Milwaukee
