Star Trek Stars Do SNL Weekend Update With A Plea To Trekkies
“Star Trek” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Quinto’s Spock predecessor Leonard Nimoy surprised fans when they showed up on “Saturday Night Live’s” Weekend Update.
Leonard Nimoy To Michael Bay: “Call Me!”
I’m sure everyone will be asking him this question today, but during the press day for Star Trek, I spoke to Leonard Nimoy (Holy shit.. What a legend) and asked him if Michael Bay had contacted him about voicing a robot in Tranformers 2. Leonard looked right at the camera and said loudly, “Call me, Michael! Call me!” he said he heard Michael was afraid to get a hold of him for some reason, but he’d gladly be a part of Transformers. Then he again reiterated to the camera, “Call me, Michael!” – from Latino
Michael Bay wants Leonard Nimoy for Transformers

Over the last few weeks, “Transformers” director Michael Bay has spent a considerable amount of time telling us about his favorite Earth-invading robots, and even revealed the Transformer he hated so much that he decided to kill it. But these days, he’s wrestling with the final touch: Who will voice his new “Transformers” robots, and will a “Star Trek” legend be amongst them? “I’m still not done with all the voices,” Bay explained to us recently when we brought up “Revenge of the Fallen” robot casting for the film, which hits theaters on June 24th. As loyal fans of the robots-in-disguise remember, Mr. Spock himself – Leonard Nimoy – was the voice of characters like Galvatron in the 1986 cartoon “Transformers: The Movie.” And “Revenge” writer Roberto Orci has said that he’d like to see Nimoy return for the summer blockbuster. Further clouding the issue, however, is the fact that Bay and Nimoy are…related? – From MTV

This will mark Nimoy’s third collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman this year, since he’ll also appear in May’s Star Trek (reprising his role as Spock), and as the voice of the villain in this summer’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. – from Fringetelevision
Leonard Nimoy beamed into Austin Star Trek Premiere
Fans were invited to a screening of The Wrath of Khan, but when the film burned in the gate, Leonard Nimoy burst through the doors to save the day with a print of the new Star Trek film.
