If you missed wrestler Chris Jericho calling out actor Mickey Rourke on CNN’s “Larry King Live” last night, it’s worth a look. It all started on Sunday with Rourke, in a red carpet interview with “Extra” before the Screen Actors Guild Awards, challenging Jericho to a wrestling match. It appeared to be all in good fun. King, of course, knows a good thing when he sees it and arranged for the two men to be on his show. But was Jericho following a script? Rourke took the high road, said he had all the respect in the world for Jericho and backed away from any match. – From LA Times
Mickey Rourke won’t be rumbling with WWE superstar Chris Jericho in Houston after all. The Oscar-nominated actor’s spokeswoman, Paula Woods, told The Associated Press on Wednesday night that Rourke is not going to be wrestling at Wrestlemania 25 in April. Woods wrote in an e-mail that Rourke was “very honored to be asked as he has the greatest respect for WWE.” But “he will not be participating in Wrestlemania.
