At the London premiere of ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic,’ Isla Fisher says she’s dressing on a budget and admits she used to fake her resume.

We’ve got three movies opening nationwide this weekend. Here’s the roundup:
Isla Fisher stars in ‘Confessions of a Shopoholic’. The film is getting solid reviews, with Fisher getting the lion’s share of praise for her performance. It’s got that ‘chick movie’ vibe, but will probably be a good ‘date’ movie for if you’re looking for something fun for Valentine’s Day.
Friday the 13th – the reboot is on – and, it’s pretty much the same. You get boobs, killings, boobs, more killings, etc. You know if you’re going to like this film before you see it – no reason to believe any critic or review.
The International stars Clive Owen and Naomi Watts – two ‘kinda stars’ who deserve to be more – unfortunately, this film probably won’t do it for either. The film was moved back 1/2 year to reshoot and make into more of an action film – which doesn’t bode well. Now that we’re seeing it, it is getting mediocre to solid reviews – lots of comments that like ‘muddled’ and so on, perhaps a little too complex for its own good. The film is about an evil bank using our money for other purposes (not so shocking in light of recent affairs), with coverups, killings and globe trotting. If you like the ‘corrupt institution being uncovered’ plotline, it’ll probably pass muster.
In the end, if you’re looking for fun (or a date movie), checked out Shopoholic, the week’s best reviewed film. The International will suffice for thriller fans, but not for those looking for something light and easy on the mind. Friday the 13th delivers what you expect – and will satisfy the horror fan base with solid doeses of mayhem and breasts.
Isla Fisher battles retail addiction in her new comedy ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic,’ but the actress and her co-star Hugh Dancy reveal that they don’t like to shop at all.
