Everyone is gay on American Idol, So There.
Oh please, if you watch American Idol, or are a contestant, or are a judge-slash-host, you’re basically Gay. But in a good way. So there, gay haters.
As tens of millions of “American Idol” fans tune in to watch Adam Lambert and Kris Allen face off Tuesday evening in the program’s final round of competition, at 8 on Fox, the overhyped media question of the moment is whether the country is ready to hand the crown to an androgynous, seemingly gay 27-year-old fireball from San Diego. Or will his sexual ambiguity (“I know who I am,” Mr. Lambert has replied to questions about his orientation) be an impediment? If Mr. Lambert eventually comes out, the way has been paved by the former contestant Clay Aiken, whose career hasn’t suffered for it. – from NYTimes
Now comes the real blockbuster election – one that will hinge just as much on complex demographic, technological and geographic factors as last year’s epic presidential battle. We are talking, of course, about “American Idol,” the season finale of which will begin Tuesday night and end Wednesday night with the crowning of a new Idol. Theories abound over who has the inside edge – the neo-glam, San Diego-bred Adam Lambert, 27, or the younger, more down-home Kris Allen, 23, of Conway, Ark. – from NYDailyNews
“Who cares, for God’s sake!” So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy exasperated to us the BAFTA/L.A. Comedy Festival. “It shouldn’t matter. They’re there to sing, dance, whatever it is. That drives me nuts.” – from E!
When photographs of Lambert, 27, kissing a man overran the Internet in March, Lambert brushed off the incident with a smile and a new motto: “I know who I am.” Several gay contestants have been on the program, but none has made it so far while being this nonchalant about his sexuality. “In terms of the sexuality question, that’s up to him to say, but he’s obviously not conventionally masculine in how he dresses and how he talks, and there’s no sense that he’s ever tried to hide it,” said Ross. “He’s totally matter of fact — and that is really startling to see on mainstream TV. It seems almost heroic to me.” – from LAtimes

Miss California: Sponsors Told Me ‘You Need to Not Talk About Your Faith’
NBC San Diego: Carrie Prejean said that her state sponsors urged her to apologize afterward [after telling a judge gay people shouldn't marry] but she rejected the advice and says officials from the Miss California USA pageant were worried that her comments would cost their contest financial backing and tried to prepare her for a string of post-pageant media interviews by discouraging her from discussing her religious beliefs. “You need to apologize to the gay community. You need to not talk about your faith. This has everything to do with you representing California and saving the brand,’” Prejean recalled being told. “I was representing California. I was representing the majority of people in California.”

Miss California USA Awesome! Perez Hilton Sucks!?
Miss USA and Miss California differ when it comes to gay marriage.
On Wednesday’s Today show, Al Roker asked Kristen Dalton, of North Carolina, how she would have answered the controversial question posed to runner-up Carrie Prejean.
“The beautiful thing about America is that we have the right to choose, we have the right to choose what partner we want to love, commit and spend the rest of our lives with,” she replied. “I think all couples should be able to be recognized legally, and they should be able to enter into a union. Whether or not that should be defined as marriage … I’ll leave that up to the politicians.”

Miss California Carrie Prejean is under attack for her anti-gay marriage statement at the Miss USA pageant and she’s just found one feisty ally – her 89-year-old grandmother!
Jeanette Coppola, speaking exclusively to RadarOnline.com at her mobile home near San Diego, came out swinging against Carrie’s critics and in a statement that shows she’s clearly not from an era of tolerance, she said:”I never knew there were so many gays out there!”

Miss California says she stands by her anti-gay-marriage comments, even if they may have cost her the Miss USA crown.
Carrie Prejean defended her views Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show, telling host Matt Lauer that she spoke from the heart during Sunday’s pageant when she said that “marriage should be between a man and a woman.”
The beauty queen’s response to a question from openly gay pageant judge and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has received more attention than the winner, Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton. During the pageant, Hilton asked Prejean if every state should follow Vermont in legalizing same sex marriage.
“I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other,” Prejean responded. “But in my country, and in my family, I think that I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

First, Perez Hilton called her a “dumb [expletive]” in a self-produced video on his Web site.
Then Tinsletown took to Twitter, as the likes of Shanna Moakler, Giuliana Rancic, Holly Madison and Heidi Montag Tweeted their outrage.
Moakler, who is co-chair of the Miss California pageant, Twittered “I agree with Perez 100 [percent].”

Mr. Hilton’s outcry and subsequent interview on Larry King Live sparked a number of celebrity Twitter responses on the topic, most notably from Britney Spears, who tweeted: “Love is love! People should be able to do whatever makes them happy!” (”Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant,” Perez responded on his blog.)
Heidi Montag, a star of the MTV reality show “The Hills,” wrote in a string of multiple messages, “God says in the bible that we should love our neighbor and he created us all as equals. I know in my heart that gays and lesbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage and I hope to one day go to YOUR wedding, Perez!!!”
But as for the non-blond, non-celebrity Twitterers, responses were varied — user fungirlkelly wrote: “I am very proud of Miss California for sticking to her values…this is still USA, land of the free…right?” But brittanygreene tweeted: “@perezhilton did a great job on Larry King. Just because you say “no offense” doesn’t mean it’s not offensive, Miss California.” – from WSJ

The 5 Most Unintentionally Gay Horror Movies

At some point, possibly in the 80s, Hollywood decided that a good horror movie needed to be built on a strong foundation of homoerotic subtext. We’re not saying it’s a bad thing, this is 2009, after all. What we are saying is that their strenuous efforts to both cram in as much homoeroticism as possible, while avoiding actual gay characters or storylines, is the stuff unintentional comedy is made of. For example… – From Cracked
Ricky Gervais’ Gay VS Fat Comparison
I heard someone on the radio once say that they were tired of the prejudice aimed at the overweight. They said something like “you’re not allowed to make fun of gay people, so why are you allowed to make fun of fat people? It’s the same thing.” It’s not the same thing though, is it? Gay people are born that way. They didn’t work at becoming gay. Fat people became fat because they would rather be that way than stop eating so much. They had to eat and eat to get fat. Then, when they were fat they had to keep up the eating to stay fat. For gayness to be the same as fatness, gay people would have to start off straight but then ween themselves onto cock. Soon they’re noshing all day getting gayer and gayer. They’ve had more than enough cock… they’re full… they’re just sucking for the sake of it. Now they’re overgay, and frowned upon by people who can have the occasional cock but not over indulge. – from Rickygervais.com
