Stacey Castor ‘Black Widow’ Accused in Anti-Freeze Murder

Earlier this year, the dramatic conclusion to a mystery that captivated an entire community played out in an upstate New York courtroom. Mother of two, Stacey Castor was charged with the murder of her husband and attempted murder of her 20-year-old daughter. The bizarre story began four years earlier, in August 2005, when Stacey Castor was at work waiting for her husband, David, to arrive. Stacey Castor, now 41, worked as an office manager at her husband’s business, Liverpool Heating and Air Conditioning. – from ABC

Just days after the apparent suicide death of her second husband, 48-year-old David Castor, in 2005, Stacey Castor buried him in a rural cemetery in upstate New York. Lying next to him in the neighboring plot was Stacey Castor’s first husband, Michael Wallace, who had died five years earlier, at age 38, of an apparent heart attack. – from ABC

Will she be tried for murder yet again? Stacey Castor was convicted of killing her first husband and attempting to kill her daughter. Cayuga County could be one step closer to an indictment for the murder of her first husband.

With less evidence and several years since Michael Wallace’s death, Cayuga County needs to work a bit harder in their effort to prosecute Stacey Castor for murder. So they need every bit of information they can get. Cayuga County Sheriff Dave Gould realizes requesting the grand jury transcript, which are rarely opened after a trial, could be a tough grab.

“It’s very unusual,” Gould admitted. “In fact, it’s extremely unusual that anybody in another county would ask for grand jury minutes in a neighboring county. The reason that the D.A. is asking for these minutes and certainly our investigators, is, the D.A. can subpoena anybody he wants for grand jury. But you may get a different version, the same people may not be available. The defense has the upper hand knowing everything that was said in grand jury. We do not have that privilege.” – from News10

Emily Blunt to be Black Widow in Iron Man 2, or not?

C’mon, Fox, let her do Iron Man…. We know this means she’d be a key player in the Avengers Movie.

Blunt had already been offered the role of Black Widow in “Iron Man 2,” but that may not be an option because of “Gulliver’s Travels.” Fox holds an option on the actress that was part of her deal when she co-starred in “The Devil Wears Prada,” and the studio may invoke it to see that she takes part in the giant tale. Earlier this week it seemed that Marvel Entertainment would have to go back to the drawing board to find an actress to play Natasha Romanoff, the Soviet superspy who moonlights as Black Widow, a beauty in a skintight black costume enhanced by high-tech weaponry. But by late Thursday, it looked like Fox and Blunt’s reps were feeling more optimistic that she could do both projects. – from Variety

Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell to join Iron Man 2. And the Black Widow!!!

Wait a second — this is just a throw away line in this article from THR, but “Another part — one for Stark’s assistant Natasha — is still open”. This means that the Black Widow will be in Iron Man 2! We all know Natasha Romanova is a double crosser in the Marvel comics, as recently portrayed in the recent Ultimates saga. Natasha, working for Mickey Rourke, will probably seduce Tony Stark in Iron Man 2 — then turn him over to her Russian handlers… However, at the end of the movie, Natasha will probably come to Robert Downey Jr.’s rescue — which would be a perfect transition to the Avengers movie. Robert has said recently the Avengers need to be based in real life… “The danger you run with colliding all these worlds is (director) Jon (Favreau) was very certain that Iron Man should be set in a very realistic world. Nothing that happened in Iron Man is really outside the realm of possibility. Once you start talking about Valhalla and supersized super soldiers and jolly green giants it warrants much further discussion.” So Natasha sounds like a perfect addition to the Avengers — just like in the Marvel Comics universe.

Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are in talks to star as the villains in “Iron Man 2,” being directed by Jon Favreau. Marvel has been keeping a very tight lid on the script for the sequel, being written by Justin Theroux, but it is known that Rourke would play a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash, a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils. Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Anthony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr. Another part — one for Stark’s assistant Natasha — is still open. – from THR

The Black Widow’s first encounter with Iron Man came when she was directed to slay Anton Vanko, the creator of the Soviet Crimson Dynamo armor, who had defected to America. Natasha attempted to distract Tony Stark while her partner Boris Turgenov used the Crimson Dynamo to destroy Stark’s plants. Turgenov and Vanko wound up perishing in battle, and Natasha remained in America to find some way of regaining the K.G.B.’s favor. Since Tony Stark was still unaware that she was a K.G.B. operative, she continued to romance him so that she could steal a new anti-gravity device he had created. She managed to use the device to commit various acts of sabotage, even lifting entire buildings into the air, but Iron Man nullified the device and she barely escaped capture, now unable to trick Stark into lowering his guard.
