NFL Roundup: Bigby done, Baugh dead, Collier returns, Tebow turning pro?

Playoffs are around the corner – here’s the happenings from around the NFL:

Atari Bigby’s lost season ended today as the Packers placed the safety on injured reserve.

Sammy Baugh passed away last night.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Richard Collier, paralyzed from the waist down following a shooting in early September, was expected to return to the field Thursday night and be recognized during pregame ceremonies.

Quarterback Tim Tebow, who’s already won a Heisman Trophy and a national championship during his career at Florida, will request a projection from the NFL advisory committee on where he could expect to be selected in April’s draft. Tebow is a junior and has the option to return to Florida next fall if he doesn’t think he’ll get drafted high enough.
