NBA Buzz: Stoudemire on block, Mo snubbed (again), Ridnour out
With an aging roster and a sluggish team, the Suns appear willing to move Amaré Stoudemire for younger guys. Stoudemire is a defensive liability, but can score, so someone can use him. Matching up salaries will be difficult. Portland might be one destination.
The poor Bucks – they’ve likely lost Bogut and Redd for the season. Yesterday they dealt their 3rd string point guard, Tyronn Lue, for a shooting guard Keith Bogans. Then what happens? The Bucks lose their starting point guard, Luke Ridnour, for four weeks. They went from three point guards to one in a day.
The Cavs are really pissed about Mo Williams all-star snub. Williams wasn’t picked originally, but a spot opened when Jameer Nelson was hurt. We definitely see their point – as Ray Allen (who was picked to replace Nelson), is still a sweet shooter, but he’s not the passer as Williams or as essential to his team.
The Jazz expect forward Carlos Boozer back on Feb. 17. We expect he’ll be injured by the Ides of March.
