Football Buzz: Super Bowl Week Begins, more

The Super Bowl is Sunday. So we kick off the week with a look at injury report for the Cardinals and Steelers.

Former NFL star Korey Stringer died in 2001 of a heat stroke after practice. His wife and the league have finally settled their suit regarding the incident.

Another former Viking, Carl Eller, was convicted Monday of assaulting a police officer who tried to arrest him. Even though he’s 67, the cops tasers wouldn’t even subdue Eller.

Seattle is reportedly interested in T.J. Houshmandzadeh. We love T.J., but worry that age and mileage will catch up to him sooner than later.

Sean Merriman has called for star running back LaDainian Tomlinson and GM A.J. Smith to end their public bitching. He’s totally right – this kind of crap is useless to the team.
