Bristol Palin: Abstinence for all teens ‘not realistic’
Honesty that would make a couple of mavericks proud – too bad it isn’t practiced by more people.
In her first interview since giving birth, the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said having a child is not “glamorous,” and that telling young people to be abstinent is “not realistic at all.” “It’s just, like, I’m not living for myself anymore. It’s, like, for another person, so it’s different,” Bristol Palin told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. “And just you’re up all night. And it’s not glamorous at all,” she said. “Like, your whole priorities change after having a baby.” – From CNN
We’ve all been so busy talking about Nadya Suleman’s 14 IVF babies that we’ve totally neglected our other favorite unwed mother. No, not Jamie Lynn Spears. Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin. The Alaska governor’s 18-year-old daughter expressed some startlingly unconservative views to her mom’s good friend at Fox News, Greta Van Susteren, on her show Monday night. – From LA Times
Bristol Palin, Gov. Sarah Palin’s 18-year-old daughter, sat for her first interview since giving birth to Tripp, which aired Monday on Fox News Channel’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.” News of the unmarried high school student’s pregnancy emerged within days of her mother’s introduction as Senator John McCain’s running mate in August. In addition to being a mother, Ms. Palin appears to be embracing a potential role as an advocate against teen pregnancy, saying that abstinence is “not realistic.” – From NY Times
