Interesting how the whole gay marriage issue is being portrayed as a “right”, and a practice that has existed since the beginning of civilization, that is until a bunch of fundamentalist Christian meanies started to raise hell about it and take it away. And of course anyone who takes exception to radically altering a custom that has formed the basis for for human sociery is a subhuman, deserving only of opprobrium and ridicule. Not much of a way to present what is still by far a minority opinion, much less to initiate a reasonable discussion of it. Throwing around words like “Hitler” says more about the one who uses them than it does the object of his scorn.

Interesting how folks like to reference the Bible to support their hatred of Gays. So, to be fair about it, here is what the Bible (which clearly sees women as second-class citizens) says about Ms. Prejean’s behavior: This issue was not about her opinion of Gay marriage. It was all about her lack of poise and intelligence; she stumbled all over herself and then proceeded to say that she lives in a country where everyone has a choice – which is clearly incorrect – Gays don’t have a choice when it comes to marriage. Not sure why Gays would want to emulate straight behavior when it comes to marriage: 50% of white females are single heads of households, 75% of black females are singles heads of households.
