Goldman’s family: O.J. Simpson prison time is ‘karma’
Simpson’s Oct. 3 conviction with a co-defendant in the Las Vegas case came 13 years to the day after he was cleared in the slaying of Ron Goldman and Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. “Some sort of karma. And good karma,” Fred Goldman said Monday of the conviction on that anniversary. “It is remarkable that, ultimately, now, we have seen him go to jail.” – from AP
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Kim Goldman, who with her father, Fred, has pursued justice for Simpson relentlessly since his acquittal in the 1994 slaying of her brother Ron Goldman. “I don’t think I ever thought that in my lifetime I would see him sentenced in a courtroom,” she said. Wearing blue jail garb and orange canvas shoes, his hands chained to his waist and his hair graying, Simpson, 61, looked a far cry from the former football, movie and TV star. – from USAToday
