If you watch the entire performance, Simon did actually state that he “knew the whole time” what a good singer she was…but everyone acted like he was full of crap. Surprise!

I think the fact that she can actually sing– unlike a lot of “role models” that are millionaires and have zero talent– is all that matters. Who cares if people helped her be a bigger success. She’s 47. Let her have her time. People act like it’s a crime if her story was made a little more dramatic.
