Eva Longoria Denies Avengers Casting Rumor

Is the Wasp in Eva’s future?

During E!’s red carpet coverage leading up to tonight’s Golden Globes, host Ryan Seacrest asked Eva Longoria whether or not she was in the running to play a role in the upcoming motion picture adaptation of the “Avengers” comic book series. The rumors of her casting began late last year when she was spotted leaving Marvel Studios HQ with a stack of “Avengers” issues. She was rumored at that time to be up for the role of original Avengers team member Wasp. Longoria told Seacrest that the rumor was “not true.” However, Longoria said she’d love to play a role in “The Avengers” if the opportunity presented itself.
