Caution: Michael Bay Movies May Cause Whiplash and WTF
Michael Bay’s latest movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has brought in over $200 million dollars since its release on Wednesday June 24th. Transformers went over $200 million, but it went over…completely. There were at least two scenes of Shia and Megan with the camera spinning. I felt like I was in quicksand, a whirlpool filled with unnecessary explosions. Bay’s movies are entertaining, but don’t see them to figure out if the plot is solid. The plot is um….well….it was like the explosions and the action were diversions to have the audience not know that the plot wasn’t well done. The story line was like the 3rd grader in gym class trying way too hard to get the second yellow flag after he reached the first one yellow flag and when there is no second yellow flag.
Michael Bay recently stated that people really need to know how difficult it is to direct a large action movie like Transformers. Maybe he’s right, but the only thing we get is the action….nothing else!!!! Did you know? Michael Bay submitted a script for The Dark Knight and it rejected!
Guess what The Dark Knight could have looked like…Michael Bay style!
